Equipment Fitting
HELMETS
Open your helmet to its largest setting and position on the head so that the
rim is one finger width above the eyebrow.
Begin to downsize the helmet until a snug fit is achieved. Secure the helmet
adjustment.
It is recommended that the player wear C5A and HECC approved helmets. All C5A
and HECC approved helmets will have a sticker indicating their approval.
Adult & over 14 years
Junior: 8 to 14 years
Youth: 5 to 8 years
Child: 2 to 5 years 6 7/8" to 7 5/8"

NECK PROTECTION
The neck protector should be snug but not uncomfortably tight. It should completely
cover the throat, and with the bib style,
the upper chest area. Measure the player's neck and match this size to the sizing
chart. ( Junior - Senior 11 "to 14" 14" to 18")
Neck protectors are designed to protect the throat area from lacerations and
cuts - they are not designed to protect against spinal injuries.
SHOULDER PADS
Measure the player's chest just below the arm pits. Refer to the sizing chart
to determine the corresponding shoulder
pads size. A player should have good range of motion while wearing shoulder
pads.
To test range of motion, lift arms above shoulder height - ensure the pads do
not dig onto the neck.

GLOVES
The glove should offer freedom of movement in all positions without chafing/restricting
movement.
Measure the distance between the fingertips and the elbow pad to determine glove
size.

Cloves should fit like loose winter gloves over the fingers. The top of the glove needs to extend up the forearm to the bottom of the elbow pad.
PANTS
Measure the player's waist. Select the hockey pants with the corresponding size
chart for that model.

Pants should reach the top of the knee and extend up to cover the kidney and lower ribs.
SHIN GUARDS
Measure from the center of the knee cap to the top of the skate boot. Match
the player's shin size to the inches of the
shinguards. They are available in the following sizes from Senior, Junior, Youth
and Child

Ensure that the cap of the shin pad is centered on the knee cap. The calf padding should wrap around the lower leg.
ELBOW PADS
Do not leave a gap between top of elbow pad and bottom of bleep protector on
shoulder pad, or between top of glove and
bottom of elbow pad. Ensure pads fits snugly around circumference of arm.They
are available in the following sizes Men ,Boys, and Child
